FUNDRAISING
Over the past 6 years, ABYSF has hosted multiple fundraising events that have successfully raised money, which is used to provide grants to our successful applicants. Our fundraisers may take shape as sports matches, golf days, dinners, gala balls or race nights to name just a few. We also have charity promotional
available to buy.
PAST EVENTS.
BIDS DAY
This notorious day is a day to celebrate the life of our dear friend Bids. Described as ‘Mr Sutton Coldfield’, Andy is remembered as a sporting legend and great friend by many in the town. Hosted at Sutton Coldfield Cricket club, Andy’s former club, the day typically consists of a barbeque, a raffle, awarded grants and lots of shared memories.

ABYSF held its first charity sports match, with Sutton Coldfield Town Vets FC against Halfway FC Old boys!

The Bids Ball has become an annual event, which entails a 3-course meal, a live band, a charity auction, and lots of fizz in aid of raising money for ABYSF.

Sutton Coldfield Fun Run
June, 2019
Since 2019, we have had multiple supporters group up to make an ABYSF team, who run Sutton’s Annual 8.5- mile charity Fun Run. It’s always a fun, family day, which helps raise funds and shows the dedication of those who support our charity.

On its second year running, the infamous Bids day reached the Sutton Observer newspaper. It documented the great day and issue of the first grants.
CORPORATE CHARITY GOLF DAY

The first ABYSF golf fundraiser included a morning of bacon rolls, a day of golf and a two course meal. Following was a prize giving and charity auction.

A night to experience the dazzling talent of Lorraine Brown, amongst friends, whilst raising money for the charity.
CHRISTMAS CRAFT FEYRE
November, 2019
Beginning in 2019 by Pat Biddle, Andy’s mum, was the Christmas craft fayre, where independent businesses can show off their crafts, cakes, or candles and all the while raise money towards ABYSF.

VETS CRICKET TOURNAMENT

ABYSF held a charity T20 cricket tournament, bringing many people along to enjoy the day and raise important funds!

Another golf day fundraiser helped to raise money for ABYSF and included a morning of bacon rolls and tea, a day of golf and an after round buffet. Free golf balls with the ABYSF logo, were also included.
JESS RUNS LONDON MARATHON
October, 2022
On Sunday 2nd October Jessica Cottrell ran the London Marathon in aid of two charities: Andy Biddle Youth Sport Foundation and READY. She was meant to run it back in April 2020, however due to covid she ran it a little later than originally planned!

Race night was an action packed fundraiser, where supporters had the chance to donate and win money.
