Supporting Youth Sport In Sutton Coldfield
Message from the Andy Biddle Youth Sport Foundation (ABYSF)
Unfortunately, in response to the coronavirus situation, the ABYSF ball planned for Friday 8th May has had to be cancelled. It will be re-arranged, but due to venue unavailability, not until 2021. We will let you know the new date as soon as possible.
You may also be aware that one of our other major fundraisers in 2019, the Great Midlands (Sutton) Fun Run has been rescheduled from 31st May to Sunday 20th September 2020. We still hope to hold a "Bids Day" at Sutton Coldfield Cricket Club but this is also subject to the current situation, available dates with the cricket club, and whether or not the disruption to our fundraising means we are able to hold a grant application process in the summer.
Further forward, we're confident of holding another golf day at Sutton Coldfield Golf Club at the end of the summer, and a music night at the same venue in the autumn. Our final planned event of 2020 will be the Christmas Fayre at the cricket club. Please look out for announcements on this website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. (Please note you can donate via the website if you would like to).
Since we became a registered charity, your help and your money has provided 10 local youth sport causes with grants totalling in excess of £11,000. Thank you so much for your support.

Andy Biddle Youth Sports Foundation
About Our Foundation
The foundation was formed in remembrance of our late friend & sporting legend Andy Biddle who died in 2018. Andy was a great supporter of youth sport especialy cricket and football his most loved sports.
The Andy Biddle Youth Sports Foundation is now inviting applications for its second grant process. The charity is dedicated to helping fund youth sport in the Sutton Coldfield area and will be pleased to accept applications for it's autumn process within a 4 week period between 8th November & 13th December 2019. Any applications received outside these dates will not be considered for the current grant allocations.
Organisations or individuals who wish to apply for a grant should click the "Contact Us" button below with contact and organisation details and a very brief description of the proposed application. The applicant will then be sent a "Grant Criteria & Principles" document plus other information which will provide a guide for a full application by email or email attachment. Please note that not all applications will be successful and that the decisions of the trustees will be final. It is our intention to hold 2 grant application periods every year, one in the summer and one in the winter.
We are keen to help clubs or individuals provide quality sports coaching and participation in a variety of sports in the local area.
One of the main reasons the ABYSF was founded in 2018 was to provide potential sports coaches and mentors to improve their coaching skills by attending accredited training schemes provided by organisations like the ECB and FA, We hope you’ll help us continue this work.
